Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities across the Central Queensland region, including expanding into non‑mining sectors where Unitech Industries products add value.

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term customer relationships across both existing mining clients and emerging industries.

  • Establish strong rapport with clients through regular, meaningful engagement.

  • Conduct face‑to‑face meetings and site visits to understand operational environments.

  • Identify customer needs and recommend tailored equipment and secondary support solutions suited to their industry.

  • Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and close sales with confidence and professionalism.

  • Maintain accurate machine records and a well‑managed sales pipeline.

  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets while contributing to strategic market expansion.

About You

  • Minimum 3 years of mining experience required

  • Preferred experience in Queensland underground coal

  • Understanding of underground coal (longwall and/or development) environments and out bye services relevant to coal operations (pumps, ventilation, belt/conveyor support, dewatering, secondary support products)

  • Background or solid working knowledge of diesel and hydraulic systems (trade, maintenance or operational exposure highly regarded)

  • Preferred experience with secondary support systems and related equipment or consumables

  • Previous experience in a Sales Representative or customer-facing commercial role, or clear capability to transition from an operational mining role into sales

  • Proven ability to build rapport and long-term relationships with site personnel, supervisors and decision-makers

  • Strong communication skills with confidence discussing technical solutions and commercial outcomes

  • Highly organised with effective time management, planning and management skills

  • Comfortable working remotely and independently while remaining accountable to targets and reporting requirements

  • Target-focused with a results-driven, commercially minded approach

  • Professional, reliable and well-presented, with a strong understanding of site expectations

  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications, QMS systems and sales reporting tools

  • Current Australian driver's licence

OTE Information

OTE Guidance: On-target earnings are indicative and depend on individual performance. Base salary plus commission structure applies; commissions are KPI based. Actual earnings may vary based on sales achieved and are not guaranteed.
