Sandblast & Painting Technician

Job Description

- Short term full time employment - with the opportunity to be full time permanent employment -

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sandblast and Painting Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and application of coatings to a variety of surfaces, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform sandblasting and surface preparation activities using various equipment and abrasives.

- Apply coatings using different methods and to difference paint specifications to protect surfaces from corrosion and deterioration.

- Prepare and mix paints and coatings to ensure proper consistency and colour matching.

- Inspect and clean equipment to maintain functionality and safety standards.

- Adhere to project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.

- Document work activities, materials used, and maintain accurate records.

- Collaborate with the project team and clients to ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in industrial sandblasting and painting 

- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, coatings, and various painting methods/specifications.

- Familiarity with different types of coatings

- Ability to operate sandblasting equipment, spray guns, and other tools effectively.

- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Physical fitness to perform tasks 

-Forklift license
