About the Role
Our Mackay Service team is now recruiting for a new Scheduler to assist the team in coordinating and planning internal and external projects. Reporting to the Branch Manager,
This role involves analysis of work required, modelling of the necessary resources and management of the agreed upon schedules in coordination with the various project managers and business stakeholders.
This is a fixed term, Monday to Friday role working out of our 14 Commercial Avenue Branch.
As a Scheduler at Hastings Deering, you will:
- Create accurate project and work plans for projects to be performed, taking into account resource availability and review with Project Managers and other stakeholders
- Develop schedule for future work, publish to the project team and monitor progress
- Initiate planning meetings with all relevant stakeholders to track progress of activities for communication to key stakeholders
- Report all scheduling issues and supply relevant data to the Project Managers for action
- Review schedule against baseline and develop a strategy for any recovery plans
- Ensure areas for continuous improvement are identified and discussed with Project Managers and stakeholders
- Coordinate deliverable due dates with the schedule and communicate gaps or issues to the key stakeholders
- Communicate any changes to the schedule to the Project Managers in writing

About You
A successful teammate will have experience in:
- Previous workshop planning and scheduling experience
- Extensive knowledge of project scheduling using MS Projects/Projects online
- Knowledge of Caterpillar or dealer systems
- Ability to provide a very high level of customer service, whilst ensuring customer needs are addressed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain a high level of workplace health and safety.
- Experience within various systems including Microsoft AX, Word, MS Project Online, SharePoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Positive and proactive attitude
