The Central Queensland Regional Organisation of Councils (CQROC) represents six councils: Banana Shire, Central Highlands Regional, Gladstone Regional, Livingstone Shire, Rockhampton Regional, and Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire. CQROC advocates for regional priorities and supports economic, social, and environmental development.
The Secretariat ensures smooth operations by providing administrative, financial, and governance support. This part-time role involves managing correspondence, preparing reports, maintaining financial records, coordinating meetings, and supporting advocacy programs. Workload varies based on board meetings, events, and reporting deadlines.
Key requirements:
- Financial management experience, including reconciliations, invoicing, and reporting (Xero preferred)
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, including records management and scheduling
- Knowledge of governance processes, such as agendas, minutes, and compliance reporting
- Ability to coordinate meetings, advocacy programs, and board events
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Ability to work independently and manage workload fluctuations

- Pro rata salary based on a full-time equivalent of $90,000 – $100,000 + 12% superannuation
