The Opportunity 

As a Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of complex compliance work and play a key part in supporting business clients. You will work closely with client managers while also reviewing the work of junior accountants and bookkeepers. This role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, quality work and making a meaningful difference to clients. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing complex financial statements and income tax returns for companies, partnerships and trusts 
  • Reviewing BAS, income tax returns and bookkeeping outputs completed by junior staff 
  • Supporting client managers with meeting preparation and helping clients understand their financial position 
  • Managing your own workflow and ensuring lodgement deadlines are met
  • Liaising with the ATO and navigating the ATO portal effectively 
  • Building strong relationships with clients through clear, friendly communication 

About You 

You will bring a combination of technical capability, professionalism and a genuinely uplifting approach to your work. You thrive in environments where people help each other succeed. 

You’ll bring:

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in tax and business advisory within public practice
  • CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion)
  • Strong proficiency with Xero and MYOB, with the ability to guide others in their use 
  • A solution-oriented mindset and disciplined approach
  • Reliability and follow through
  • A warm, positive manner and enjoyment of client interaction
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth
