Senior Accountant

Baker Advice Group is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Senior Accountant.

The Role and Responsibilities

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, tax returns and business activity statements. You'll also be responsible for growing and managing your own client database across diverse industries, identifying and addressing compliance issues and opportunities as well as researching and advising on technical matters.

The successful applicant will have:

• A degree qualification
• XPM and Xero experience (preferred)
• Previous experience in other cloud-based accounting programs is highly regarded. 
• Broad knowledge of Australian tax fundamentals
• Exposure to or management of clients
• High level of interpersonal skills
• Ability to work autonomously to achieve outcomes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships
• A high level of attention to detail and accuracy, and a strong technical focus
• Enthusiasm and self-motivation
• Strong business development skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Demonstrate use of initiative to think outside the box for client solutions and business growth
