Senior Contracts Officer and Contracts Officers

Council are seeking to appoint a permanent full time Senior Contracts Officer and two (2) Contracts Officers, one permanent full time and one maximum term full time to contribute to Council’s success. The maximum term Contracts Officer opportunity has a projected end date of June 2027.

About the Roles

The Senior Contracts Officer will lead high-risk projects by combining strategic procurement management with high-level contract oversight.

Salary for this role is $ 96,205.56 plus super

The Contracts Officers will be responsible for contract sourcing processes, from receipt of the scope of work through to contract execution and performance monitoring.

Salary for this role is $ 89,838.67 plus super

Ideally you will bring at a minimum:

  • Substantial experience in a Contracts related role, overseeing complex financial, and commercial aspects of supply/service/construction/maintenance contracts, with proven success in maintaining compliance with company policies to minimise risk.
  • Knowledge of fundamental contract principles (including contract terms and conditions, applicable laws and other regulations) and relevant experience evaluating and preparing tender and contract documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in time management, prioritisation and planning skills.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation and communications (verbally and in writing) with contractors, customers and employees.
  • Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems, including procurement software.
