Senior Engineer - Mining

About The Role

The Senior Mining Engineer position based at our Tarrawonga Site is a critical role ensuring that the mining operations are well-managed, cost-effective, and compliant with safety and environmental regulations.

This is a site-based role working a 9-day fortnight. Applicants must live local to the Gunnedah region or be willing to relocate (assistance provided).

What You’ll Do

• Provide technical support to mine operations, enabling the site to provide an increasingly safe and reliable operation
• Supervise and provide mentoring to mining engineers, ensuring their outputs align with business goals
• Lead the analysis and reporting of mining production data across the site
• Identify areas of technical and business improvement to increase productivity and reduce mining costs
• Ensure production budget is met by effective planning, scheduling and coordination of activities relating to the mining fleet

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in Mining Engineering
• Highly developed skills in mine design and scheduling
• Highly developed skills pertaining to mining software packages and engineering practices
• Excellent communication and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
