Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Private Company to engage an Senior Manager Commercial and Trade Development. This position is located in their busy Mackay or Brisbane office as a Permanent /Full time Position. 
  
About the Position
You will be a dedicated leader, who is involved in managing and developing the talent pool to meet the current and future needs of the operations and trade facilitation at this company. The other responsibilities include are contributing to the integration and application of safety, security, risk management, and sustainability frameworks across the business and ensuring compliance with policies and relevant legislation.

Duties
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Planning, Management, or equivalent,
  • Significant management experience in major infrastructure projects, logistics, and an understanding of shipping.
  • Significant experience in the management and marketing of a port or similar infrastructure facility, contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general port operations, shipping characteristics, marketing principles, financial processes, budgeting, tenure and property management.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and high-level abilities in stakeholder management and establishing effective relationships with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
