  • Drive improvement in clinical systems, pathways, and our model of care

  • Embed continuous quality improvement processes, monitor outcomes, and support accreditation and governance frameworks.

  • Develop and oversee medical education and training programs (for doctors, registrars, allied health, nurses) and support career development of the clinical workforce.

  • Act as a key clinical advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and Board, contributing to strategic planning, risk management, policy development and funding submissions.

  • Work collaboratively across disciplines (GPs, nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, allied health) to foster a multidisciplinary, team-oriented approach to care.

  • Maintain a clinical practice component to remain connected with patient care and the operational realities of the service.

About You

You will excel in this role if you bring:

  • Experience as a GP or Senior Medical Officer within a primary health care or community health setting.

  • Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster a positive workplace culture.

  • A strong commitment to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, with cultural awareness and humility.

  • Ability to think strategically and operationally, translating vision into practice, building systems and processes, monitoring outcomes and driving improvement.

  • Desirable: experience in an ACCHO or Aboriginal health setting (though not essential), supervisory or training roles, familiarity with accreditation, policy, evaluation, and primary health care.

  • Essential: Medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent), current registration and fellowship with RACGP &/or ACCRM

Why Join Us

  • Play a pivotal leadership role in a valued community health service with real impact.

  • Opportunity to shape and lead service development, CQI, training and models of care.
