Senior/Qualified Carpenter

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior / Qualified Carpenter to join our growing team at Onegroup in Yeppoon. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality carpentry services across various construction and renovation projects.

What you'll be doing

• Lead teams onsite by example and support senior management with managing our commercial and residential projects

• Read and interpret plans, engineering and job specifications

• Capable of completing framing, lock-up, fixing, and cladding for residential projects, and able to work with and understand structural steel elements used in commercial construction

• Work collaboratively with other trades to ensure smooth project delivery

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe worksite

• Ensure all work complies with Australian standards and building codes

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a qualified carpenter

• Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials

• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Time management and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to quality workmanship, attention to detail and safety

• Current QLD driver’s licence and reliable transport
