Service Advisor – Rockhampton

RGM Maintenance is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Advisor to join our Rockhampton Branch.

Our Rockhampton branch is a fast-paced Daimler Trucks dealership, working with industry-leading brands including Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Freightliner, and Fuso. In addition to dealership work, we service a diverse range of vehicles such as Defence vehicles, fuel tankers, and many other specialised units — no two days are the same.

About the Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will work closely with the Service and Parts teams to ensure a smooth workflow from job booking through to invoicing. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who enjoys customer interaction and thrives in a busy workshop environment.

Key Requirements

  • Mechanical background preferred

  • Previous Service Advisor experience (preferred; training provided for the right candidate)

  • High level of customer service focus

  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organisation and time management abilities

  • Sound computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to perform to a high standard in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers on the day of their service

  • Act as the primary point of contact throughout the service process

  • Explain service options, repairs, and processes clearly

  • Prepare and manage repair orders and invoices

  • Liaise with technicians and parts staff to schedule and progress jobs

  • Order parts where required

  • Complete and maintain accurate service documentation

  • Update customer records and databases as needed
