The Role
The Service Manager oversees the daily operations, compliance, and strategic growth of disability support services, ensuring high-quality care for participants. Responsibilities include leading staff, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards, and optimising participant care plans.
Key Responsibilities

Operational Management: Direct daily service operations, including staff rostering, resource allocation, and maintaining high-quality participant support (SIL, Core Supports).

Compliance and Quality: Ensure all services meet NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards, conduct audits, and manage risk, including WHS issues.

Leadership and Mentoring: Manage staff performance, recruitment, training, and development to maintain a skilled, Person-Centered team.

Financial Performance: Manage service budgets, maximise funding utilisation, and ensure financial viability.

Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with participants, families, and organisations like the NDIA and Local Area Coordinators (LACs) to address participant needs.

Business Development : Work with the Area Manager to grow People Care Services's active customer base, through networking and proactive promotion of People Care Services through community and social channels.
Required Skills and Experience

Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the NDIS environment, relevant legislation, and quality frameworks.

Experience: Proven experience in a leadership or management role within the disability or human services sector.

Minimum 1-2 years of management experience in disability or human services sector is required.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills for building rapport with diverse stakeholders.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify gaps in service delivery and drive continuous improvement and growth

Computer literacy: Office suite and capacity to use cloud-based software.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

Working with Vulnerable People check must be obtained within 30 days of commencement.
Education/Qualifications
Qualifications in allied health, social science, or community services
Any tertiary qualification in allied health, social science, or community services is acceptable.
