UGL Locomotive Maintenance facility based in Nebo, regional QLD, is currently seeking experienced Service Technicians to perform mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting tasks; this work will at times be complex in nature.
The roles will be offered on a permanent basis working on a 7/7 roster rotating consisting of days, afternoons and night and 11.5-hour shifts.
UGL is currently offering relocation to any applicants within Australia looking to move to regional QLD, these roles are working at our Nebo depot and relocations assistance can be provided to anyone open to moving to Mackay or surrounding areas that are DIDO distance form Nebo.
If you do not live local or a DIDO distance from site, FIFO to and from Nebo would be at your own expense, however camp accommodation and meals is provided in Nebo for your roster.
Role Details:
- Conduct scheduled maintenance activities
- Undertake fault finding/troubleshooting of routine rolling stock problems.
- Verify the integrity of the Rollingstock
- Perform Emergency Response duties as required
- Requisition materials and components.
- Conduct inbound and outbound tests.
- Identify and report future work requirements.
- Carry out other relevant tasks assigned by the Fleet Supervisor
About you
- Mechanical Trade qualified with related field experience.
- Ability to resolve routine mechanical issues, warranty quality, maintenance and servicing problems.
- Previous experience with diesel engines
- Able to read technical drawings and BOM lists.
- Work independently, organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, email.
