Service Truck Driver/Labourer

  • Fixed Term (31 January 2025) Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • Pro Rata amount of $70,440 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 4 + Site) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

Our Civil Operations department have an exciting fixed-term position available for an experienced Service Truck Driver/Labourer based in the Urban Operations team.

You will undertake multiple deliveries to various sites within Rockhampton ensuring that each team has the necessary equipment needed to successfully complete projects.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • Extensive experience in the operation of trucks, preferably in an urban environment.
  • Understanding of financial record keeping and reporting.
  • Ability to carry out your duties in a safe manner, ensuring you adhere to Council’s Safety-First attitude.
  • Must be reliable with a positive attitude and capable of working with a diverse and multi-skilled team.

Application Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience with ordering and purchasing supplies, with the ability to reconcile purchasing accounts.
  • Unrestricted MR Class Licence with extensive experience operating, preferably in an urban environment with multi-drop delivery experience.
  • Experience in a civil construction environment with the demonstrated reliability and ability to work across multiple teams.
