The Opportunity:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Service Manager with Australian working rights to oversee the operations of our Mackay branch. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the health, safety, and performance of our workforce while driving productivity and achieving key business objectives.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Health & Safety: Ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all operational personnel under your authority.
  • Safety Leadership: Identifying and resolving safety issues, educating staff on safe work practices, and ensuring compliance with safe systems of work.
  • Workforce Allocation: Providing appropriately skilled and inducted labor for scheduled and breakdown work.
  • Operational Performance: Leading your area to meet productivity, revenue, and profitability targets.
  • Team Leadership: Managing Mackay Services employees to align with company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Issue Escalation: Reporting labor delivery or employee performance concerns to the Branch Manager.
  • Capability Development: Identifying training needs and building workforce capability to meet labor requirements and staff compliance is met.
  • Coaching & Mentoring: Supporting direct reports through coaching and development opportunities to foster growth and increased capability.
  • Compliance & Administration: Completing necessary reports and administrative tasks to maintain compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintaining open communication with stakeholders, attending meetings, and encouraging collaborative input.
 
  
Essential Criteria:
  • Relevant experience in a management role;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong stakeholder relationships.
  • A strong focus on safety with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Considerable experience managing and motivating a teams;
  • Demonstrable negotiation, communication, computer literacy and relationship building skills;
  • Australian working rights.
  • Financial acumen including ability to read, understand and contribute useful information to profit and loss statements.
  
Desirable Criteria:
  • Understanding of industry best practice;
  • Knowledge of the relevant awards, legislation, regulations, codes of practice and any other applicable standards that affect operations.
