We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Advisor with construction experience to support a recently awarded project in Rockhampton
About the Role
Successful candidates will be responsible for providing SHEQ support services on site by preparing safety management plans, assisting and advising on site investigations, conducting SHEQ audits and assisting with inspections to ensure compliance with our Broad systems and legislative requirements.
As the successful candidate you will need to be a self starter who is highly motivated, well organised and committed to the highest possible work standards and safety. You will also have the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and subcontractor.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will require:
- Experience within construction industry (minimum of 2yrs)
- Demonstrable experience of Safety Management System implementation
- Proficiency in MS Office to produce accurate reports combined with exposure to in-house Health safety Environment systems (e.g., Cintellate)
- Robust understanding of Commonwealth Construction Safety legislation
- Solid communication and management skills to lead, challenge and improve safety practices on site
