Shift Electrician – Racecourse Mill
Join Mackay Sugar and become part of our dynamic team! We have a Permanent Opportunity for an experienced Electrician to join the team at Racecourse Mill. This role is on shift during the crush season and is day work during the non-crush (maintenance) season.
You will be able to use your skills in a unique industry as a key member of the maintenance and production team. A team-based position focused on meeting challenging targets of throughput, safety, and quality. You will help to ensure the successful operation and performance of the Mill and it’s supporting infrastructure and equipment. The role will involve performing electrical maintenance and repairs to factory plant in co-ordination with our Production Teams.
As a minimum you will hold and / or maintain the following Qualifications and Licenses:
- Current Electrical Licenses (Electrical Fitter/Mechanic)
- Electrical Trade Qualification (Cert III in Electrotechnology or equivalent)
- Industrial plant experience would be an advantage, however, is not critical.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Effective communication skills and be driven by systems, processes and discipline
- An excellent focus on safety and a strong desire to be concerned for the health and wellbeing of all work colleagues
- Must hold Full Working Rights for Australia
- Valid Australian driver’s licence
