Job Description

Our client is a specialist mining maintenance company with a strong history of providing high quality heavy equipment maintenance solutions to mining projects and other heavy industry throughout the Bowen Basin region.

They are seeking experienced shutdown trade assistants to join their team now

Sites: Callide and Dawson Mine Site dragline and wash plant downs days and outages
Hourly rate: $40/hr + pens (pay breakdown for 12 hour shift is 7/3/2)
Hours/shifts: Typically 12 hour shifts, both days and nights based on shutdown requirements 
Accommodation/meals: Yes all supplied on rostered shifts, paid breaks, with 3 hours paid travel weekly for commuting workers

You will require:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a trade assistant
  • Current standard 11 (mandatory)
  • Current coal board medical (mandatory)
  • Mine site inductions at Callide and Dawson mine sites (highly desirable)
  • Glencore Generic Induction and inductions at other sites (advantageous)
