KAEFER Integrated Services are currently looking for a Site Manager for a Local Project in Gladstone, Queensland.


Key Responsibilities

  • Experience working in a strictly confidential environment to maintain confidentiality of employees personal information
  • Where relevant liaise daily with the Contract Manager in relation to the schedule and critical path items always focusing at least 3-5 days ahead
  • Provide direction to the shift Supervisors in relation to the critical path of the project
  • Assist with key critical tasks and help up-skill our people on specialist tasks
  • Work closely with the KAEFER departments to identify inefficiencies and improvements with respect to safety, man hours and tool and gear during projects;
  • Provide assistance with processes and procedures to get the most professional and efficient procedures on site;
  • Maintain professional and productive relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Actively participate in pre-start meetings, information sessions and client presentation
  • Effectively manage and resolve HR issues and escalate to the Manager where required
  • Participate in and be involved with cost control practices;
  • Work closely with the Contract Manager in identifying personnel as having potential for further technical training and progression;
  • In collaboration with the Contract Manager, establish and maintain effective client relationships in a manner that achieves the KAEFER strategic intent
  • Participate in the close out process of projects and provide input
  • Manage and lead lesson learnt sessions and drive positive outcomes
  • Provide strong input and demonstrate a high level of ownership during the project planning phase
  • Work in collaboration with Resource Coordinator, Project Controls and Workforce Planning teams to ensure effective project planning, scheduling and workforce planning is undertaken
  • Liaison with company legal, risk management and audit personnel
  • Managing contractor claims for variations, progress claims and extensions
  • Regularly evaluating the quality and performance of contractors; managing business relationships with key internal customer groups
  • Developing and maintaining sound business relationships with actual and potential contractors
  • Establishing and monitoring standards for negotiations and contract documentation

About You

  • OHS Construction Induction White Card
  • Valid Drivers Licence (Manual)
  • Trade Qualification or HRWL
  • Relevant licensing
  • Heavy Industrial and/or Mining Experience
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Sound Project Management Skills, including planning, delivery and reporting
  • Strong technical trade / Scaffold knowledge and demonstrated ability to oversee complex projects
  • Sound Commercial knowledge and ability to interpret contracts
