The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Site Recruitment Advisor to join a well-established mining operation on a 6 month maximum term contract.

Supporting a busy site-based workforce, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end recruitment across a range of high-volume blue collar positions. Working closely with operational leaders, you will play a key role in attracting, coordinating and onboarding talent to meet ongoing workforce demands.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative HR team while enjoying a 9-day fortnight, DIDO from Mackay, with camp accommodation and meals provided.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for high-volume blue collar positions
  • Partner with hiring leaders to understand workforce requirements
  • Advertise vacancies and screen applications
  • Conduct phone interviews and coordinate hiring processes
  • Arrange interviews, medicals, police checks and pre-employment requirements
  • Coordinate onboarding and mobilisation activities
  • Build and maintain candidate talent pools
  • Maintain recruitment records and reporting within HR systems
  • Provide a high level of candidate and stakeholder communication throughout the recruitment process
  • Ensure all recruitment activities meet company compliance requirements
About you
  • Previous experience as a Recruitment Advisor, Talent Acquisition Advisor or Internal Recruiter
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting high volumes of blue collar employees
  • Mining, resources, construction or heavy industry recruitment experience is highly regarded
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple vacancies in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using recruitment or HR systems
  • Current C Class Driver Licence
  • Able to DIDO from Mackay
