REMUNERATION
This position is Full Time and involves weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and public holiday work.
You must be able to work weekends and public holidays (rotating roster).
Wages are negotiable but will be based on the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the kitchen is following Workplace Health and Safety guidelines.
Ensuring employees comply with the Food Safety Management Plan (FSMP)
Liaise with Head chef to place daily orders with suppliers.
Check orders on arrival, ensuring quantity and quality are correct and meet HACCP standards.
Aid in ensuring the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained by the entire Kitchen team to meet Health & Safety regulations and HACCP food preparation guidelines.
Work alongside and take guidance from the Head chefs in the operation of Yaralla’s kitchens and all aspects of food production.
Produce and maintain superior standards of food preparation and presentation.
Participate in the development of seasonal menus as required.
Working together to mentor, lead and inspire the kitchen team.
Essential Skills, Abilities and Experience
Trade qualifications in Cookery;
2+ years’ experience in working in restaurants;
Team worker, pleasant personality;
Efficiently and proven time management skills, confidentiality, and professionalism;
Ability to work without supervision (self-motivated);
Organised;
Professional pride;
Honesty;
Numeracy;
Friendly personable team player and proven customer service skills;
Ability to work with competing demands and time pressures in a busy environment; and
Current valid C-class driver’s license.
Preferred (nice to have) Skills, Abilities and Experience
Current first aid certificate;
Physical strength to assist in function set-ups (moving furniture);
Clear and legible handwriting.
