As the State Metering Advisor, you will manage the development and implementation of Sunwater’s metering fleet strategy to ensure a consistent approach is applied to metering across the business. This position will take an active role in driving innovation and contributing to the Smart Scheme Strategy and will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders across this program of work.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Developing a Capital Metering Replacement/Upgrade Program that aligns with Non-Urban Water Measurement Policy and Regulatory requirements and implementation plan.
- Developing and updating the Asset Class Asset Management Plan and asset management strategies for Meters & Telemetry.
- Driving rationalisation of metering assets where possible to reduce whole of life asset cost where possible and make recommendations as the Subject Matter Expert on Metering
- Leading and supporting the identification of potential innovation and process improvements
We are seeking candidates with a high level of interpersonal skills including consultation, negotiation and relationship building who can work in a self-directed manner to plan and coordinate work. You will have the ability to effectively represent metering interests to internal and external stakeholders and have a high level of written communication skills, with the ability to prepare written technical reports, memos, presentations, and other communications.
In addition, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in metering management
- Trade or Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Water Operations or equivalent experience in heavy industry
- Certified meter installer accreditation (mandatory)
- Class ‘C’ drivers’ licence
