About the Role:
We now have an exciting opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our organisation as a Stores person on a 6 month casual basis, based at our Gladstone site. The primary function of this role is to assist the existing Supply Chain Coordinator with the day to day warehouse tasks including picking , packing, stock takes, warehouse transfers, stores setup and housekeeping tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
To be successful in this position you will need to:

Working in a fast-paced environment & undertaking inbound, outbound (small item / scale shuttle – large item scale picking / packing & put away) of orders.

Operating Forklift equipment in a safe timely manner.

Maintain accurate inventory records, participating in stocktakes / rotating stock, stock consolidations & cycle counting.

Provide feedback to the Warehouse Supervisor and or Manager regarding issues/improvements in the warehouse.

Ensure good housekeeping standards are met.

Stock transfers between warehouse and offsite locations

Assist with stores setup and duties
· Participate in site operations meetings to identify material requirements and respond to operational changes.
· Pick and Pack goods as per operational requirements. Organise warehouse to ensure space is efficiently utilised.
· Assist with the development of relevant procedures.

About You
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Key Requirements
To be a successful candidate you are required to:
· 4+ years’ experience in Warehouse/production environment
· Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory and warehousing best practices
· Hold active Forklift License
· Able to multitask, prioritise and manage time efficiently.
· Team person that can work efficiently with the production and warehouse staff
· Accurate and precise attention to detail.
· Understanding of the WHS requirements.
· Ensure good housekeeping standards are met.
· Physically fit to perform the stores tasks.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:
The following qualifications or experience will help the candidate succeed in this role:
· Experience working in a production/maintenance environment managing stock levels and demand needs. Rail experience is highly regarded
· Previous experience with SAP.
· Qualifications in logistics or Supply Chain.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks, including a medical assessment with drug and alcohol testing, provide a valid police clearance and confirm their eligibility to work in Australia. Strictly no Agencies please.
