Strata Manager

Job Description

Precision Body Corporate Management is a local company, providing strata management, secreterial and financial services to strata schemes in Central Queensland. We are a small company and deeply value our staff. 

We are looking for a Strata Manager (Body Corporate Manager) for our Rockhampton office to service our Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Gladstone clients. The ideal candidate would have strata experience, however candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided. 

 

About the role 

  • Be responsible for a portfolio of schemes. 

  • Work onsite in our Rockhampton office. Hybrid work arrangements or reduced hours may be possible for the right candidate. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with committee members, owners, property managers and contractors.

  • Attend and chair meetings, prepare minutes of meetings.  

  • Ensure schemes comply with legislative requirements.

  • Prepare budgets and review expenditure.

  • Primarily business hours, but 4-6 out of hours meetings each year are required. 

  • Some travel, during business hours, to Gladstone and Yeppoon is required.

 

About the candidate 

  • Must be happy to work solo, as the only person in the branch, with the rest of the team in Bundaberg. 

  • Problem-solving skills - must be able to apply knowledge of the legislation to a variety of situations to provide options to clients. 

  • Excellent time management skills to ensure legislative timeframes are complied with. 

  • High attention to detail to ensure a high standard of professionalism is provided to our clients. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - in particular, be able to effectively explain concepts to clients. 

  • Experience with legal, accounting or property management a bonus.

  • Be a self-starter, show initiative and be proactive. 

  • Comfortable with technology. This job uses multiple software systems (Stratamax, Stratavote, Microsoft Office/Teams etc), and the right candidate needs to be comfortable with technology and willing to continue learning as the systems are upgraded and change. 

  • Must have a current drivers licence.
