The Role:

Are you passionate about delivering innovative, evidence-based planning solutions that make a real difference? We’re seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning Officer to contribute to shaping sustainable, liveable, and resilient communities through forward-thinking land use policies and integrated planning initiatives.

As a key contributor, you will play an integral part in developing and implementing strategic land use policies, growth management frameworks, and integrated planning projects. Your expertise will foster strong community and stakeholder engagement.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or a closely related field, and/or substantial experience in a relevant environment;

  • Substantial experience in strategic and/or statutory planning, with proven success managing complex planning projects, developing policy, and interpreting planning legislation;

  • Proven ability to lead planning initiatives involving stakeholder engagement, spatial analysis, and alignment with broader community or infrastructure goals;

  • Strong capability to operate effectively within political and regulatory environments, including strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience in providing advice, engaging, consulting and negotiating with a broad range of stakeholders such as elected members, community and government; and

  • A current motor vehicle driver licence.
