Supervisor - Shutdown / Field Team

Job Description

Ausgroup are seeking Experienced Shutdown / Field Service Supervisors to assist in the successful delivery of our Shutdowns throughout the Bowen Basin and Mackay regions.

Ausgroup Industrial Services offer a highly skilled, qualified & experienced workforce which consists of Scaffolders, Riggers, Industrial Painters, Abrasive Blasters, Boilermakers, Welders, Trade Assistants, Industrial Cleaners and Supervisors.

About You

Essential Skills:

To be considered for these roles you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum 3 years Mine Site experience.

  • Experience with Layer (desirable).

  • Uphold health and safety standards and proactively assist others.

  • Mentoring teams to ensure a uniform awareness material risks, hazards and controls especially working around scaffold, working plant and confined spaces.

  • Pro-active attitude towards continuous improvement and having a positive culture.

  • Ability to develop and implement operational improvement strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability leading and managing personnel.

  • Demonstrated personnel management skills.

  • Accurate reporting and management of projects.

  • Report and communicate of daily tasks through to scheduling and direct reports.

  • Review project program and completion schedule and delegate tasks accordingly.

  • Exceptional communication and time management skills.

  • Quality control and accurate reporting.

  • Basic computer skills

Qualifications required:

  • HRWL - Advanced Scaffolding/Rigging (desirable)

  • Current Driver's Licence.

  • Supervisor 1,2,3 & G2

  • Construction White Card.

  • Work Safely at Heights Certificate. (Desirable)

  • MSIC (or the ability to obtain).

  • Working at Heights Certificate (less than 2 years old) or willing to obtain.

  • Confined Spaces Certificates (less than 2 years old) or willing to obtain.

  • Gas Test Atmosphere Certificate (less than 2 years old) or willing to obtain.

  • Current Coal Board Medical or the ability to obtain.

  • Standard 11 Statement of Attainment or the ability to obtain.

Successful applicants will have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen, and be available to complete training as required. 

**Please note: DRUG & ALCOHOL TESTING will be conducted on the first day of commencement and at periodic intervals throughout employment.
