Supply Chain Analyst

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to implement methods of gathering, analysing and managing supply chain data to gain insight and extract value from data associated with the procurement, processing and distribution of goods and services that support the safe, efficient, sustainable and timely delivery of council’s operational program.

Your role will include:

  • Promoting a positive Workplace Health and Safety culture and ensure active compliance
  • Leveraging your analytical skills to optimise procurement and supply chain processes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficient and sustainable operations

You will bring: 

  • Demonstrated experience in a supply chain environment such as inventory management, procurement and/or contracts as well as data mining, analysis and reporting.
  • High-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel with proficient keyboard skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
  • Experience using business intelligence reporting tools.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills to establish and maintain effective communication channels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and to solve problems by being collaborative, creative, and analytical with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and effectively prioritise work to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
