$85,000 p/a+ superannuation + salary sacrifice

Full-time - Fixed-term position

 

About the role:

We are currently seeking a Support Facilitator to join our Mental Health team in Rockhampton. They will provide assertive outreach, responsive and timely psychosocial support to highly vulnerable participants, who have experienced suicide attempts or suicidal crisis. The provision of this support is characterised by proactive, sustained, and persistent efforts to reach and maintain contact with participants.

What will a typical day look like?

  • Collaborate with people experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide, and where relevant and possible, their family members, informal and formal carers.
  • Provide timely support that is proactive, sustained, persistent, trauma informed, recovery oriented and strengths based, ensuring service provided reflect the guiding principles of the Way Back Service.
  • Make or advocate for referral to community-based services where possible and appropriate.
  • In consultation with the Clinical Lead, assist in the development of processes, procedures, instructions, tools, and operational guidelines relevant to service delivery.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Diploma level qualifications in a Mental Health related field.

Other Requirements:

  • Full COVID-19 Vaccination
  • Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
  • Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
