The role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial part in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal goals, participate in their community, and lead fulfilling lives. You will provide compassionate care and practical support tailored to each participant’s unique needs and preferences.
This is an on-site position with client matching to ensure your skills and experience align with the participant’s support requirements.
A combination of support types is available, including:

• SIL shifts, including sleepover shifts
• Community Access support

Key responsibilities

• Assist with transport, social participation, and community access
• Work in collaboration with our compliance team
• Working with individual participants to maintain personal care and cleanliness of the house
• Planning and attending activities or appointments
• Completing daily case notes, admin tasks and incident reports

 
What we're looking for

• Certificate III in Disability (or currently working towards)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
• Commitment to upholding the rights, dignity and independence of people with disabilities
• Suitable availability to work on a rotating flexible roster(may include a combination of day, afternoon, sleepovers and weekend shifts)
