 The opportunity

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal goals, engage in their communities, and lead fulfilling lives. You will provide compassionate care and practical assistance tailored to each participants unique needs and preferences.

  • Casul & Permanent part-time employment

  • Immediate start (pending mandatory NDIS requirements)

  • Casual: Ordinary $43.23 - $45.94 (inclusive of 25% loading), Saturday shift $60.52 - $64.31, Sunday shift $77.81 – $82.69

  • Part-time hourly equivalent $34.58 - $36.75, Saturday shift $ 51.87 - $55.13, Sunday shift $69.16 - $73.50

  • Receive sleepover allowance $100 for sleepover shifts 

  • Not-for-profit salary packaging options to increase take home pay (package up to $15,900 per FBT year)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with individuals to maintain personal care and cleanliness of the house, preparation of meals and medication management

  • Assisting with skill development for independent living, recreation, learning, and community access

  • Supporting and managing individuals behaviours utilising Positive Behaviour Support Plans

  • Completing case notes, incident reports, sleep logs and other necessary documentation during shifts

  • Work as part of a team to ensure continuity of support to participants. 

Skills and requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or prior professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability

  • Computer proficiency

  • Suitable availability to work on a rotating flexible roster (will include a combination of day, afternoon and active night, sleepovers and weekend shifts)

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks
