Teacher Assistant

Tarumbal Kindergarten Association INC are actively seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Diploma Qualified Teacher Assistant to join our team. As Teacher Assistant you will play a pivotal role in providing support to our Director/Teacher, students, staff, parents and community stakeholders whilst performing the roles and responsibilities of this position. By joining our team you’ll help to contribute and make a meaningful impact on not only our children but our community helping us to continue to achieve success and growth.

If you are currently enrolled in Cert III Early Childhood Education or Diploma of Early Childhood Education we also strongly encourage you to apply.

Qualifications required/in progress or be willing to obtain:

• Cert III Early Childhood Education or Diploma of Early Childhood Education 
• Current Blue Card 
• First Aid CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certification 

About Us: Tarumbal Kindergarten has been operating in the Rockhampton Community for over 50 years. Tarumbal has always maintained a 75% ratio of Aboriginal and Islander Student enrolments. Our programs are play based and our early education programs are delivered by a qualified early childhood education teacher. Through our programs Tarumbal children are able to express themselves through art, dance and dramatic play helping them to build and maintain their identity and culture. Tarumbal children are constantly learning through play to communicate, use language, communicate feelings and ideas, making new friends and share and play with others. Learning through new experiences helps all our students build their knowledge, courage, strength and confidence helping to prepare them for a great start to their educational journey.
