About our role:
As a small, independent school for Years 7–12, we provide a supportive learning environment for young people who may not have felt fully supported in mainstream education. You’ll join a caring, community-focused team where your contribution makes a real and meaningful difference in students’ lives.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Delivering engaging, real world learning experiences aligned with the QCAA/ACARA curriculum.
- Building strong, trusted relationships with students, encouraging them to achieve personal wellbeing and academic goals.
- Working collaboratively with youth workers, parents, and support staff to deliver trauma informed learning plans and supports
- Providing guidance and role modelling, with a focus on unconditional positive regard for students and peers
- Supporting wellbeing and learning attending weekly outings and school events
About you:
We’re seeking someone who can foster strong, respectful relationships across our school community with students, teachers, families and support staff alike. You’ll bring a compassionate, relationship-centred approach to supporting the young people in our care.
In addition,
- Registered Teacher within Queensland, with relevant tertiary qualifications in Education
- A flexible educator, confident teaching across multiple subjects/disciplines
- Experience working holistically with the whole student
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
