Team Leader Cleaning

Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Team Leader Cleaning to contribute to Council’s success.

  • Permanent Full Time, 9-day fortnight

  • Located in Calliope

  • Better Balance, Better Benefits with GRC

About the Role

This is a leadership role responsible for operational control, coordination and delivery of cleaning services for amenities, buildings and facilities throughout the Gladstone Region.

Your role will include:

  • Promoting a positive Workplace Health and Safety culture and ensure active compliance

  • Developing your career in local government

  • Being present, pro-active and solutions-focused and recognise that the community is the core of our business.

You will bring:

1.    Certificate IV in related discipline which is relevant to the responsibilities of the role and/or substantial experience in cleaning operations, property/facility or asset management in a maintenance environment.

2.    Proven experience supervising work teams and demonstratable skills managing time, prioritising and delegating tasks.

3.    Comprehensive understanding and experience in applying Work, Health and Safety in the work environment.

4.    Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

5.    Sound communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.

6.    Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.

7.    Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
