  • Permanent Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • LGIA Stream C BT Level 2/3 (Licenced Plumber/Drainer) + Site + Tool + Leading Hand Allowance 3 - $88,612 - $90,950 (Minimum rate depending on qualifications and experience)
  • LGIA Stream B (Construction Experience) Level 6 + Site + Leading Hand Allowance 3 - $82,237
  • Potential earning capacity of $100,000+ per annum (Dependant on applicable penalty rates, over time and allowances)
  • Licenced Trade Allowance for qualified plumbers and Annual Wage Increases in line with Certified Agreement
  • Location – Rockhampton

Fitzroy River Water is currently recruiting for a construction team leader to join the Rockhampton team.  Substantial civil construction experience with a focus on pipelaying will make you a suitable candidate, with a trade qualification desirable but not essential.

You will be responsible for directing, motivating, and leading a multi-disciplined team which are required to carry out a wide range of construction activities associated with Council’s water and wastewater assets. 

Whilst a trade qualification is desirable, it is not essential.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Application Criteria

  • Experience in the construction, installation and refurbishment of new and existing water and wastewater reticulation infrastructure.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and supervise a diverse, multi-skilled team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to exercise good interpersonal skills dealing with all key stakeholders in a positive manner.
