- Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
- $75,863 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 5 + Site + Leading Hand 1) + Superannuation

Your new role
Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking an experienced Team Leader to liaise with the Rural Supervisor to assist with planning, organising, coordinating, and controlling works on the ground, to maximise the safety and quality, outcomes, and timelines for a variety of Rural projects.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
- Certificate III in Construction and/or relevant experience within the Civil Construction industry.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with knowledge and experience leading a team to success.
- Experience in planning and organising tasks/work of a crew to meet schedules and standards.
- Ability to contribute to and uphold Council’s Safety-First culture.
- Strong communications skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

Application Criteria
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with proven ability to coordinate and supervise teams’ activities.
- Mandatory “HR” Class Truck Licence (HC Class licence desirable or willingness to obtain) and RII Excavator and Skid steer tickets.
- Safety focussed with very strong knowledge, understanding of, and commitment to WH&S procedures and policies.
- Experience in a range of civil maintenance works including pipe laying, concreting & road works.
