About this opportunity:
This position leads a high-performing team, ensuring the operation and maintenance of water and sewerage pump facilities, and developing staff expertise in SCADA systems. The role involves overseeing daily water and sewer network operations, monitoring system performance, and responding to breakdowns and power failures. Additionally, the position supports asset management, ensures safety equipment maintenance, promotes problem-solving, and provides training and mentoring. Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety and environmental protection is essential, with other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in the water industry with competence in the operations, maintenance of water and sewerage assets.
- Demonstrated experience in operation and interpretation of SCADA systems.
- Demonstrated experience in the effective leadership of staff that resultsin a productive team working environment.
- Ability to fault-find, analyse and implement solutions for rectification works relating to water and sewerage mechanical and electrical equipment and associated asset components.
- QLD "C" Class Driver's Licence
