Job Description

  • Permanent Full Time 
  • Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight 
  • $95,671 - $99,656 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 5) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton 

Your new role

Join the Fitzroy River Water team and provide your technical advice and expertise to support the Senior Asset and Maintenance Planner in providing knowledge to the unit and other departments as it applies to asset management.

You will also be responsible for making decisions in your area of responsibility, for the planning and delivery of data improvement projects, data collection, data quality assessments, asset lifecycle modelling, site inspections as well as effective control and maintenance of asset management framework documents relative to the role.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in Engineering or relevant field, with extensive experience in asset management and maintenance within water and sewerage operations.
  • Experience implementing asset management systems and processes.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to plan and work independently but contribute to overarching team goals and deadlines.

Experience working with government organisations including knowledge of the Local Government Act, 2009 and Regulations.

Application Criteria

  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in a relevant field with knowledge and experience in a water and sewerage operations and maintenance or similar industrial process environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with asset management frameworks and software systems.
  • Highly developed problem solving, investigative and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in asset data analysis and lifecycle modelling.
