Yurika has both permanent and 2-year fixed term opportunities for experienced Electrical Fitter Mechanics with low voltage (LV) renewable plant/equipment knowledge to work in our Asset & Operations team as a Technical Service Person - Renewables.

About the role:

The Technical Service Person - Renewables is responsible for the construction and installation of LV renewable plant and equipment including but not limited to solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery energy storage systems and EV chargers.  

Additionally, they’re responsible for the effective planning and execution of routine maintenance activities within prescribed preventative maintenance plans, including HV maintenance, HV switching, HV site control and HV emergency breakdown works.

These are Queensland-based roles to be located at any one of our EQL major locations of - Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Maryborough, Toowoomba or Brisbane (Eagle Farm) but will have extensive travel requirements within Australia (fly in, fly out OR drive in, drive out). 

Remuneration -

  • From $113,869 per annum + 14.75% superannuation + applicable allowances.

The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.

About you

You’ll have a demonstrated knowledge of and ability in the construction and maintenance of low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) systems and components including competence on AC, DC and control systems.

You’re competent in the safe operation of vehicles, equipment, and tools, and demonstrate the ability to influence a positive safety culture using your highly developed interpersonal skills to interact professionally with fellow team members, contractors and customers.

Critical to your success in this role is your -

  • Queensland Electrical Workers Licence as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic.
  • Clean Energy Council (CEC) Accreditation in the installation of grid-connected PV systems.
  • Construction industry induction card.
  • Open C class Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Current CPR and LV Rescue competencies.

Desirable -

  • High Voltage (HV) network experience.
  • CEC Accreditation in the installation of off-grid systems.
  • National accreditation in HV switching.
  • Senior First Aid.

Additionally, you will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
