An exciting opportunity currently exists within the Catholic Education Office to join the Information Technology Team as a full-time Technology Specialist (Infrastructure). This position is for an immediate commencement or as negotiated with the successful applicant.
As a Technology Specialist (Infrastructure) within Catholic Education – Diocese of Rockhampton (CEDR) you will be responsible for planning, developing, deploying, testing, and optimising systems infrastructure, authentication services, database services, physical and hosted environments and software applications. This will include responsibility for on-premise and hosted vSphere and Azure, Active Directory, SQL Server, Server Operating Systems, Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions, compute, and storage.
This position will ideally be based in Rockhampton but is negotiable for the right applicant. Some travel within the Diocese may be required.

About you
The successful applicant will have an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic education. In addition you will have excellent time management skills, well developed interpersonal skills and a high proficiency of computer skills.
Formal qualifications at degree level, along with post graduate qualifications or extensive knowledge and experience relevant to the position is required. ITIL V3 Foundations would be advantageous.

Mandatory Requirements
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
- Relevant post graduate qualifications or extensive and relevant experience.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
