Job Opportunity 
We are seeking a highly motivated and eager Trades Assistant who is interested in advancing their career by becoming a qualified Rope Access Technician. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to kickstart your career in the mining sector, with local work based in Gladstone.
As a Trades Assistant with Yura Yarta, you will gain valuable hands-on experience, with the potential to transition into an apprenticeship after 6 months for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to grow in the industry, develop new skills, and be part of a dynamic team.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn, and committed to the Trade Assistant position.

You’ll need to meet the following selection criteria:

  • Commitment to both on-the-job training and off-the-job learning in formal classroom settings.
  • A strong desire to learn and a genuine interest in Rope Access.
  • Ability to work effectively in both small teams and larger group settings.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to safety and quality in all tasks
