Trade Assistant | Power Generation

 

UGL Industrials have an opportunity for an experienced Trade Assistant with power station experience to join our on-site maintenance team.  This position will support the site in the day-to-day maintenance activities over a 4-day week (36hrs). 

 

This position is a residential role with no living away from home provisions or facility for non-local employees.  Local applicants from the Rockhampton region are strongly encouraged to apply.

To be considered for the role, ideally you will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Previous experience working on a power station preferred
  • Construction Industry Induction (white / blue card)
  • High risk work licence – LF, WP preferred but not essential
  • Nationally accredited Working at Heights certification valid within 3 years
  • Nationally accredited Confined Space certification valid within 3 years
  • Nationally accredited Gas Test Atmospheres certification valid within 3 years
  • Driver’s Licence

Duties / tasks this position will undertake are along the lines of:

  • Assisting tradespeople – Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers in day to day activities
  • Servicing Mills
  • Lubricating and servicing of plant
  • Assisting scaffolding team when required
  • Confined space hole watch / sentry duties if required
