Since the event began in 1988, the Expo has grown to become an internationally recognised event with major industry, trade and regional community outcomes and is now rated as one of the world's great beef cattle events. About the role

Beef Australia is seeking a motivated, organised and customer-focused Trade Fair Officer to support the Exhibition & Event Operations Coordinator and broader operations team in the planning and delivery of Beef 2027. This role is responsible for providing high-level administrative support and account coordination within the event operations team, ensuring exhibitors and partners have a seamless experience from pre-event planning through to bump-out. The Trade Fair Officer serves as the first point of contact for Beef Australia exhibitors, coordinating site bookings, payments and important communications. You will be part of the Event Operations team responsible for the pre-planning and overall operational delivery of the Beef Australia event site. This position requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, a proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Event Operations Team

  • Deliver exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for exhibitors, responding to enquiries promptly and professionally

  • Manage and monitor a shared email account, ensuring timely action and escalation where required

  • Prepare meeting agendas and take minutes as required

  • Effectively manage competing priorities and workflows to meet organisational requirements and deadlines

  • Coordinate exhibitor site bookings, payments and other documentation requirements within EventsAIR

  • Assist with developing a freight and logistics schedule and coordinate forklift bookings

  • Support the Exhibition & Event Operations Coordinator in the planning of Trade Fair bump-in and bump-out operations

About you

  • 2 years' experience in administration and customer service role or similar (mandatory)

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role or large event (desirable)

  • Strong demonstrated use of MS Office applications (mandatory)

  • Aptitude for use and development of different software and systems

  • Good communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Great time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks

  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team as required

  • Ability to remain calm in fast-paced, strenuous working environments and adapt to working outside of normal business hours and office conditions

 

This position is offered under a fixed term full-time contract until 31st May 2027 with a remuneration package of $75,000 annual salary plus superannuation.
