Fatz Fabrication is a manufacturing and product installation business based in Rockhampton QLD. We produce Premium stainless-steel Snorkels, exhaust systems and various induction related products for the 4WD industry. We have been in operation since 2009 and are well established within the industry. We have a team-oriented culture and work as a team to achieve ongoing and immediate goals and commitments.
Fatz fabrication is looking for Trades Assistant and/or a 2nd-3rd Year Apprentice for an immediate start in our manufacturing department. Attention to detail and attitude to continually improve process and efficiency is vital.
Main work duties will include:
- Collecting and delivering materials to workstations
- Cutting, grinding, deburring, and preparing Stainless steel and aluminium components
- Grinding back welds on stainless steel components, through a set process.
- Polishing stainless steel and aluminium components to a seamless form, ready for the next step in the process.
- Operating drop saws, band saws, break press, grinders, drills, milling machines.
- Using polishing machines as well as handheld grinding and finishing equipment.
- Checking over supplier deliveries, ensuring they match order criteria.
- Using a brake press to fold components ready for fabrication tasks.
- General workshop duties, as needed.
