Trainers & Assessors – Electrotechnology - IMMEDIATE START

Axial Training is growing and we’re seeking passionate Electrotechnology Trainers & Assessors for an immediate start to deliver training to senior secondary students in Mackay.

Enjoy the best of both worlds , work from your home office for planning and admin, and attend our partner schools to deliver practical, hands-on training to the next generation of tradespeople.

 

Whether you’re an experienced trainer or a qualified tradesperson ready to move into training, we’ll support you every step of the way ,  including assistance to obtain your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment if required.

About the Role

You’ll deliver engaging, practical, and student-focused training to high school students undertaking Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start (VETiS Program)

You’ll work closely with schools, students and industry partners to build confidence, develop real-world trade skills, and create strong pathways into apprenticeships and employment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver hands-on training and assessment at partner schools

  • Work from your home office for lesson prep, admin and marking

  • Mentor and motivate students to succeed

  • Contribute to lesson planning and continuous improvement

  • Ensure training meets safety, compliance and quality standards

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Trade qualification in Electrotechnology and/or Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration

  • TAE40122 or TAE40116 (or willingness to obtain — we’ll support you)

  • Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)

  • Strong communication and mentoring skills

  • Passion for developing future tradespeople
