Training Coordinator

Job Description

Mackellar is the mining services contractor for Bravus’ Carmichael Mine and together we are creating jobs and opportunities for regional Queensland. Production is now in full swing at the mine site located in the Galilee Basin and we’re excited to be growing our team.

This hands-on mine site Training Coordinator role is required for an 8/6 roster out of Rockhampton or Townsville as the local embarkation points.
 
Responsibilities will include:
  • Establish the training needs and develop training plans and processes for new starters and upskilling for current staff 
  • Understand the relationship between approved positions and the training need
  • Provide training approval requests to the Superintendent
  • Provide guidance to trainers / assessors with regards to quality assurance of training materials and records, and compliance requirements
  • Identify any issues that can impact the training plan and raise with the Training Superintendent
  • Training and Assessing in field when required
Skills and experience required include:
  • TAE40116 Qualification
  • Current S123 & G2
  • Previous experience coordinating and training in field across production and maintenance crews on a busy mine site
  • Current Drivers Licence
