Position Summary
Ampcontrol is looking for a Training Developer to join our growing Service Division in Mackay, QLD. In this role, you will develop and deliver technical training packages to both internal staff and external customers. These packages will focus on the installation, operation, and maintenance of Ampcontrol products and systems. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and testing teams to ensure high-quality, interactive training experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Training Materials: Create engaging training packages from product documentation, technical manuals, and drawings. This includes workbooks, PowerPoint presentations, assessments, and training evaluation forms.
- Deliver Training: Conduct both internal and on-site training at client locations, possibly over multiple shifts. Use creative techniques to ensure maximum learning retention, provide assessments, and offer post-training feedback.
- Schedule and Organize Training: Coordinate training schedules, flights, accommodations, and materials. Ensure venues and equipment are booked and maintain training documentation for analysis and reporting.
- Maintain Internal Training Matrix: Review and update the training matrix for the Mackay Service Division to ensure all staff competencies are up-to-date.
- Support Product Documentation and Field Services: Assist with product documentation and field service support as needed.
What You Bring
- Qualifications:
- Essential: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, valid driver’s license, Microsoft Office proficiency
- Desirable: Trade Qualification, Advanced Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
- Experience:
- Essential: Experience working in a service & manufacturing environment, experience in web-based platforms to build training content.
- Desirable: Experience in a training environment, developing training materials and conducting training.
- Personal Characteristics: Strong communication and presentation skills, attention to detail, team-oriented, well-organized, service-driven, and comfortable delivering training to diverse audiences.
