Help keep Mackay's water flowing! We're looking for a proactive Transfer Systems Operator to ensure safe, reliable water and wastewater services for our community. This is your chance to work with cutting-edge systems and make a real impact every day.

What You will Do

  • Take charge of SCADA systems to keep our water network running smoothly.
  • Respond quickly to alarms and operational issues to maintain service continuity.
  • Maintain pump stations, reservoirs, and small water treatment plants.
  • Champion safety and environmental compliance across all operations.
  • Participate in planned and reactive maintenance programs.
  • Join the on-call roster to support 24/7 operations.

What We are Looking For

  • Qualifications and/or experience in water operations or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of SCADA systems and water/wastewater infrastructure.
  • A commitment to safety and environmental standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Essential Requirements

  • QLD "C" Class Driver's Licence
  • General Construction Safety White Card
  • Confined Space & Working at Heights certification
  • MR (Medium Rigid) Licence
  • Operate and control liquefied chlorine gas dosing systems training
  • Previous experience in water and sewerage infrastructure operations
