ackay Regional Council is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our Civil Construction team, based at the Paget Depot. This role involves a range of tasks related to the maintenance and construction of roads, drainage, and other civil infrastructure. You will be engaged in earthworks, concrete work, pipelaying, bitumen applications, and vegetation management.

About this opportunity:

The key responsibilities include operating heavy combination trucks to transport materials and equipment, as well as engaging in hands-on labour for road and drainage maintenance and construction. This role also involves assisting with various tasks such as earthworks, concrete works, pipelaying, bitumen work, and vegetation management. Additionally, it is essential to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures throughout all operations.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Current General Construction Safety "White" Card.
  • Minimum Current QLD Medium Rigid Truck 'MR' Class Licence.
  • Current QLD Manual Car 'C' Class Open Driver's Licence.
  • Current Traffic Controller's Ticket.
  • Extensive experience driving tandem axle trucks in varying road conditions.
  • Proven experience in the construction and maintenance of roads and drainage infrastructure.
