Job Description

We are seeking experienced Tyre Fitters to join our team at Blackwater. Reporting to the Tyre Bay Supervisor you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of tyres on heavy mining equipment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Remove and fit rims and wheel assemblies
  • Remove, repair and refit tyres on mining equipment as required
  • Perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjust and report to supervisor
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of equipment non-conformance.
  • Identify and record equipment quality problems and provide solutions
  • Be able to work in accordance with the site's procedures.
Skills and experience:
  • Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy; AUR21920
  • Drivers License
  • Surface mining experience is essential on heavy mining equipment 
  • Current Coal Board Medical & Standard 11
  • Forklift, Working at Heights and/or Confined Space Certificate (highly regarded)
